THE EBIHENS AND PENINSULA OF ST-JACUT-DE-LA-MER:
The island of Ebihens is a part of islands of Manche. His name comes from "Enez Bihan" who means small island in Breton. The island is a part of the archipelago of Ebihens which is probalement trained during a tidal wave 10000 years ago.
This island deprived of 20 hectares in the shape of croissant is accessible to low tide by the peninsula of Saint-Jacut-de-la-mer. The inhabitants allow you to cross the island by an attractive path lined with typical vegetation of the bay of Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer. The flora and fauna are protected there today. For a long time exploited as granite quarry, the island of Ebihens is a bird sanctuary since 1984.
You can admire this island on the way out the hole n°8 of the big golf course as well as on the green of the hole n°7 of Pitch and Putt.
